Rivermist Pet lodge is the best! We booked a week stay for our 5 yorkies while we were away on the vacation. Our dogs really enjoyed their stay at Rivermist. We called the lodge while on vacation to see how the dogs were making out since this was their first time staying away from home. Rivermist gave us an update on the dogs and sent us pictures. We highly recommend Rivermist Pet Lodge for your pets needs.

My two dogs were well cared for and happy, even the one who is nervous around strangers and in new places. Because that dog is nervous around unfamiliar dogs, the staff let my dogs have playtime together (instead of in the larger group of dogs) outside of their boarding room. This 25-minute playtime was included in the price, which made it a great benefit because other boarding places nearby charge you extra. Finally, the staff were very flexible when I changed the dogs' pickup day and provided a discounted rate for boarding multiple pets at once. I would definitely recommend Rivermist Pet Lodge. It is well priced, located in a beautiful area, and my dogs were happy. My only suggestion would be that the pet pick-up/drop-off service eligibility be based on distance rather than county. (I am in northern Prince George's County and geographically closer to the boarding facility than many areas of Montgomery County, but I was not eligible for the pet taxi service because of the county.)

Rivermist took great care of my cat, Fossil, for 10 days while I was in Italy. I love the email updates with pictures. Prior to boarding her, I visited Rivermist and the lodged cats were calm and comfortable with the staff which told me a lot about the care they received. Thank you for taking great care of Fossil and putting me at ease!

We have used Rivermist for daycare and for boarding our 2 dogs. Both have been good experiences for the dogs and for our family. Daycare has been ongoing due to renovations. Recently we boarded both dogs for 2 weeks and 2 days. Our dogs were well cared for. They were returned to us happy and healthy. The day after we picked them up from boarding they were happy to return for daycare. That was important to me. The facility is clean and beautiful.I would recommend Rivermist to friends and family.

They were able to fit my cat in for a boarding emergency, when she needed medication and we were going out of the country. They sent multiple email updates along with pictures while I was away to let me know how my kitty was doing. She is a long haired cat and after 12 days of boarding looked amazing! The employees there truly care about the animals in their care. Will definitely be recommending their services to friends in the area.

Lots of people try and save money by paying the neighborhood kid to watch their dog while they go away. Chances are the kid isn't a professional and the care given would be an example. I feel real comfortable leaving my aged dogs with this professional pet lodge. They have been top notch. Thank you.
